“The true voyage of discovery
is not in seeking new landscapes,
but in having new eyes”
It’s almost April, so it is practically May, which means summer holiday is around the corner and that I feel the movement to start planning and scheduling. Heaven forbid we have a summer where we just sit and do so. It sounds romantic to be que sera sera about summer break but I understand that two hours into letting whims and elaborate dictate our times there’ll fight and boredom. And that makes me feel like that my nerve endings are made of chalkboard and the noise of child’s displeased voices claws screeching.
I don’t need to travel a whole lot . We were gone for most of the summer this past year and it was tiring. Interesting, confident but fairly exhausting. I didn’t deal well. I hit a low point to a very dreadful October. Therefore, I am not likely to do this. I likewise don’t possess a great deal of cash to haul four kids anywhere exotic. I did thing about driving to Washington D.C. but I’ve visions of CK hitch-hiking house after a few days in the vehicle, making us desolate somewhere in middle America. He’d never do that for the record, but I bet he would want to.
Now I was reading Instagram as you do, and that I saw a remark from a really great person who said that she follows me because I reside in a beautiful state. I believe that was one of the things I have heard on that specific social platform. I amn’t being followed by her since she’s expectations of the way I look, or my home is, or what I sayshe only likes the way I visit my home. Isn’t that beautiful?
Utah is remarkable that way. In two hours you selecting up obsidian balls and sitting in central Utah or wiggling or could be scaling desert rocks. Just this month I have scaled a massive all-natural arch, sat snowy-side in an Alpine mountain resort cafe, waded through cascading waterfall pools at the arid desert, and observed a nightly star emerge directly at the top of the mountains in my backyard.
Therefore, I think that it might be a cool summer for us studying to see otherwise what we’ve seen before. I’d love to return to some areas where we have discovered magic to find out what we can view. And perhaps we will hit the BYU baseball match for some games (and hot dogs). The children are signed up to get a neighborhood drama camp that will end in June on Saturday afternoon at an operation. And we will have lots of dinners. CK makes the very best homemade fries. Doesn’t that sound lovely?
I think so also.
